Wolves won’t be thunderstruck by Northern Storm

THERE'S a glowing future for Woolgoolga Wolves once the young band of players discover their true potential.

Coach Andrew Mallett said while wins are few and far between at the moment, the lane will turn eventually.

"I know how good they are," he said.

"My job is to convince them it's okay to trust in their own ability.

"There's lots of raw talent in the side but what is holding us back is a lack of experienced players - those older heads that are needed for them to learn from."

Today the Wolves take on Northern Storm Thunder, with that club also rebuilding.

Meanwhile, Northern New South Wales Football has named the seven rival teams facing Coffs United in the next stage of the Westfield FFA Cup at Lake Macquarie on June 20-21.

South Armidale United joins the Lions as the "bush" clubs at the gathering.

Adamstown Rosebuds, Broadmeadow Magic, Edgeworth, Valentine, West Wallsend and Jesmond also qualified.
