Theatre turns spotlight on infamous underarm incident

REMEMBER the underarm?

That infamous moment when Australia bowled an underarm delivery to beat the Kiwis in the third final of the World Series Cup series for 1980/81 will be explored in a fast-paced comedy coming to the Jetty Theatre on March 8 and 9.

“Coffs audiences are in for a fast and furious night out with New Zealand taking on Australia like you’ve never seen … and a whole lot of laughter,” actor Christopher Brougham said.

“This is not a boring show.

“Never have I been in a show where any manner of shouts might rain down on you from the audience at any minute (audience participation is encouraged). It’s terrific.”

Whether you remember the moment or not, whether you’re a sports fan or not, if you get fired up about Aussie-Kiwi relations, family interactions and stories of life, love and loss, The Underarm is a show for you.

Presented by Hit Productions, The Underarm promises a great night out for those who love cricket as well as for those who don’t.
