Letter to the Editor - March 16: Thank God for Salvos

THE Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal runs from April to June and includes our national fundraising doorknock on the weekend of May 28-29.

This year's goal is to raise $75million to help The Salvation Army to continue its work.

Every day of the year, the Salvos provide care and support to Australians in need.

Our goal is to fulfil people's immediate needs, which may include crisis support or emergency services.

We will also journey with people through the long haul by providing counselling and drug, alcohol or gambling addiction rehabilitation.

Issues can be complex and may happen to both young and old.

By helping our clients to discover the real causes of their problems, we can help people to find a way out of their situation and transform their own lives. We see this change constantly.
