Robert Bromwich SC new head of the DPP

A SENIOR New South Wales barrister will start as the new Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions next week.

Attorney-General Nicola Roxon announced she had appointed Robert Bromwich SC as the new head of the DPP.

Mr Bromwich, who started his legal career as a legal officer in the Commonwealth DPP, will return from December 17 as the director.

He will take over from Chris Craigie SC, whose finished as director in September.
