Protesters try to 'move in with Mike Baird'
MEMBERS of "generation rent" tried to set up a share house outside New South Wales Parliament in Sydney in an effort to "move in with Mike Baird".
Catholic Auxiliary Bishop Terry Brady led the protest against unaffordable housing prices that included emptying a truck of second-hand furniture at the building's Macquarie St entry.
"The fact is families can't survive without two incomes in this city, and even then housing imposes huge pressure," Bishop Brady said.
"Sydney siders are working ridiculous hours and facing long commutes every day just to meet their financial responsibilities, and the impact this is having on families is significant."
