Persistent rain sees flood warnings issued
MINOR flood warnings have been issued for the Bellinger River at Thora and the Orara River at Glenreagh.
The forecast further rain over the next 6-12 hours expected to cause minor flooding at Glenreagh tonight.
At this stage it is not possible to predict the actual flood peak because of uncertainty over how much more rain will fall.
The Bureau of Meteorology has said though that that the level at Glenreagh Bridge should reach the minor flood level of four metres later this evening.
The predicted height of the Bellinger River at Thora is expected to reach 3.3m at around 9pm with minor flooding.
At this stage, the river level at Bellingen is expected to remain below minor flood level.
