One in hospital after car goes through fence and into dam

ONE man has been taken to hospital after a car ran off the road and into a dam at Naughton's Gap Road.

Richmond Local Area Command Inspector Doug Connors said they received a call just after 2.30pm today that a car had left roadway on Naughton's Gap Road, near Rumbaldini's Road, gone through a fence and ended up in a dam.

A passerby stopped and helped the driver out of the car and onto dry ground, Inspector Connors said.

As the driver was complaining of some neck pain, as a precautionary measure he was been taken by ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital.

Casino VRA were on scene to help the ambulance service.
