No-carb diets increase risk of dying

PEOPLE on low or no-carb diets could be increasing their risk of dying earlier by 30%, a recent study has revealed.

The research revealed cutting carbohydrates for short term weight loss may not be good for your overall health.

The study looked at more than half a million people and found 30% more people on a low-carb diet died than those on a high-carb diet.

The research may come as a shock to many, as it flies in the face of many diet recommendations, with celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow endorsing the restrictive diet.

Essential fibre, vitamins and minerals, which are easily sourced in high-carb foods, were being lost in low-carb diets, affecting the dieters overall general health, the study found.
