Nambucca Valley destination makes final of national awards

ONE of the Nambucca Valley's best known tourist destinations has made it through to the final judging for a national award.

Nambucca River Tourist Park is one of six finalists to represent the North Coast Destination Network (NCDN) at the peak tourism industry celebration, the Qantas National Tourism Awards for Excellence.

These will be announced at a gala ceremony at Luna Park in Sydney on February 7.

Naturally, the nomination is in the Tourist and Caravan Park category.

"The network is well represented across a range of categories by businesses from key locations throughout our region," NCDN executive officer Belinda Novicky said.

"We are very proud of these finalists and the many other successful and proactive businesses that make up the tourism landscape in our vast region, the largest in NSW".

"We will look forward to supporting these finalists at the gala Awards with a strong North Coast contingent including myself and our Network chairs offering support and congratulations on the night."
