Marketing campaign brings Singapore visitors to Coffs Coast
THE SUCCESS of a Legendary Pacific Coast holiday campaign with Singaporean airline SCOOT rocketed the leading tourism drive from Sydney to Brisbane into star status at the Australian Tourism Exchange.
The campaign targeting Singapore visitors flying into Sydney or the Gold Coast and then driving the coastal route saw an initial 1000 airline seats sold and finally peaking at 1850.
International specialist Russell Mills and executive officer Belinda Novicky have been in Cairns at Australia's largest travel industry show selling eastern seaboard destinations including the Coffs Coast.
"The SCOOT success has lifted the profile and created a buzz around the drive and our partner destinations," Russell said.
"We anticipate significant business to be generated through over 250 appointments with overseas travel wholesalers from all priority markets.
"This is a great indicator for continued growth of international visitors to our region."
