Lingerie-wearing man bites cop on thigh

A MAN wearing women's lingerie has been arrested in a Casino after biting a police officer on the thigh.

Richmond PD Rural Crime Investigators will allege that at 10.45 pm on Saturday night they saw an unregistered vehicle parked at a Casino Shopping complex.

A 42-year-old man from Yeerongpilly in Brisbane man was seated in the car. He was wearing women's lingerie and had his penis exposed. There was also a knife and syringes strewn throughout the car.

He gave police a false name and also tried to hide an object under his car seat while talking to police.

Police worked out his real name and found out that he had three outstanding Queensland warrants. He then tried to swallow a plastic balloon.

Police tried to prevent him doing so, and the 42-year-old responded by biting a Senior Constable on the upper thigh. He also punched and kicked police.

The bite went through the Senior Constable's jeans and left a large bite wound. He then told police that he 'had AIDS'.

The 42-year-old was taken to hospital to be treated for the items which he swallowed, which police will allege were illegal drugs.

A search of the vehicle revealed 27 grams of cannabis, 4 grams of cannabis resin and 11 grams of Buprenorphine.

He was charged with assaulting police occasioning actual bodily harm, assaulting police, resisting police,and four counts of possessing a prohibited drug.

Police may well be laying more charges after they carry out more inquiries in relation to the extent of the injuries and the status of the car is determined.

He was bail refused and will face Lismore Local Court today. Both police were treated at hospital for various injuries.
