JAG to reveal Jetty revitalisation approach

THE Jetty Action Group (JAG) will this Sunday release it's approach to revitalisation the Coffs Harbour Jetty area.

Three options will be unveiled at a stall at the Harbour Markets.

The first vision emphasises implementation of the outstanding actions and strategies in the current Jetty Foreshores Plan of Management.

The second vision relates to long term Harbour infrastructure needs and encourages Coffs Harbour City Council to take a leadership role in taking a proposal to the Federal Government to match the current State Governments commitment of approximately $30-40m to harbour maintenance and includes a permanent sand bypass of the harbour and an artificial reef off North Wall.

The third vision relates to Coffs Harbour City Council also taking a leadership role in encouraging redevelopment of the Crown land occupied by State Government buildings at the Jetty strip.
