Insta celebrity launches personal training program
CAIRNS fit mum Libby Powell has taken her passion for health and fitness to the next level with the launch of her very first training program.
With 1.2 million Instagram followers, the social media influencer and fitness model is a WBFF Australian Bikini Pro Champion and Muscle Nation sponsored athlete.
Now the 27-year-old mum of one has put her many years of training and nutrition knowledge into launching her first 12-week fitness program, Perfect Peach, this week.
Available on her new website, Libby Powell Fitness, Ms Powell said she had poured her heart into creating the program.
"It's something that I've always wanted to do, it's a passion of mine, health and fitness, so I wanted to put together an e-book for everyone else and share my knowledge," she said.
"I've been sitting on it for so long, but because coronavirus happened and the gyms closed, and because it's a gym based program, there was just no point in releasing it. I'm so glad it's out there now, I had been working on it for about six months.
"It's a glute, leg-based program, so it's based around your booty.
"It's got video demonstrations of each exercise that I've done and full descriptions of each exercise in there as well so it's really easy for the client to be able to follow."
Ms Powell has also recently started running personal training sessions following gym closures due to COVID-19.
She said her advice to anyone starting out on their fitness journey, or those wanting to maintain their fitness, was to keep active.
"Try and just keep active and try and keep that motivation up," she said.
"I know it's quite hard in a time like this, but as soon as you start losing that then you kind of spiral out of control.
"Even just getting outside and going for a walk. Also just doing some home-based workouts, you don't need a lot of equipment … and just try and go for higher reps as well."
Ms Powell is now working towards competing in her second pro show with WBFF in November, but that was dependent on COVID-19 restrictions.
