Huge day of fun for the kids
ONE of the big events of the annual Coffs Harbour Buskers and Comedy Festival, Kids Day, will be bigger and better than ever.
Since its inception in 2005, Kids Day at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club has become increasingly popular.
Buskers organiser John Logan said Kids Day was set down for Tuesday, September 23.
"When we moved to that venue, we knew that no matter what and even in the event of rain, we just move indoors to the huge indoor facility. That gives us peace of mind. With a lot of kids to worry about, the fact that the venue has a fence is also reassuring to parents," John said.
Kids Day is different to most of the other busking events.
John said children paid a one-off fee for admission and the buskers did not ask for the hat.
"It's an event model that an increasing number of people prefer," he said.
"Once inside, all entertainment and attractions including the busking, the jumping castles and the rides are included.
"Magic Jake will be doing a balloon modelling and magic workshop for any kids wanting that little bit extra for an additional charge, but parents and accompanying adult carers can sit in for free."
John said Geoff King Motors sponsorship made the admission fee affordable for children and families.
Tickets are available at www.coffsharbour buskers.com ($8 plus booking fee) or $10 at the gate.
