Women channel Peggy Olsen to achieve vintage glamour
IPSWICH women are channelling their inner bombshell and signing up for workshops to learn the secrets to achieving vintage glamour.
The tricks behind creating stunning hair and make-up styles inspired by the '40s and '50s were revealed at a sold-out workshop at Diamond Cut Hair and Make Up studio in the Top of Town.

Betty Butcher, a tutor from the Bombshell Burlesque Beauty Academy, showed participants how to create a range of curls and rolls at Saturday's event.
Women at the workshop drew on their inner Peggy Olsen - from the hit TV show Mad Men - and got into the spirit of the event by wearing their finest vintage-style clothing.

Diamond Cut owner Cassandra Jackson said vintage style workshops were becoming hugely popular.
"I've seen these workshops start popping up all over and I wanted to be able to bring this to Ipswich," she said.
"It's something a bit different for my clients."
Ms Jackson said the speed at which the day had sold out and the positive feedback she had received meant she was confident of holding vintage hair and make up days more often.

"This will be the first of many, looking at how popular the day's been," she said.
"I was just shocked at the response.
"It sold out in a day and word just got about through Facebook. It was amazing."
