Five arrested in separate incidents on the Mid North Coast

FOUR men and a woman have faced court, following investigations into three separate incidents on the Mid North Coast.

At about 2.45pm on Friday, police attended to a Macksville home following reports that a man wanted on warrants was inside the home.

As police arrived, a 26-year-old man allegedly ran from the home and was pursued on foot and arrested nearby.

A 22-year-old a woman was also arrested at the home.

An amount of drugs believed to by methylamphetamine, or 'ice' and other items were seized by police at the home.

The man was charged with five outstanding warrants, drive unlicensed (x2), use unregistered vehicle, good in custody, and resist police. The woman was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possess rescripted restricted substance (x2), and goods in custody (x4). They were refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court yesterday.

At about 4pm the same day, police and officers from the State Protection Support Unit attended a home in West Kempsey.

A perimeter was established as a precaution, before an occupant, a 19-year-old man, surrendered to police and was arrested.

Following his arrest, officers searched the home, where a number of items, believed to have been stolen, were seized.

The man was taken to Kempsey Police Station where he was charged with armed with intent (x2), malicious damage, assault (x2), intimidation, and possess unregistered firearm. He was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court yesterday.

At about 5.30am on the same day, police were called to Port Macquarie home following reports of a home invasion.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man outside the home, and a 47-year-old man was later arrested nearby.

Both men were taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where they were each charged with aggravated break, enter and commit serious indictable offence.
