Construction work on Pacific Hwy ramps up

THERE will be plenty of construction on the Pacific Hwy this week, as work on the latest upgrades continues.

Motorists can expect minor delays and changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Hwy, with work and haulage of materials in Harwood between Maclean and Chatsworth until 6pm on Saturday.

Controlled blasting at Glenugie will be carried out for a second week.

Traffic will be stopped to to ensure the blast can be conducted safely, and motorists may be delayed by up to 10 minutes.

There will also be construction between the Arrawarra Interchange and Glenugie from 7am to 6pm every day this week, with intermittent stoppages and minor delays to traffic.

Construction will also take place at Corindi today, Halfway Creek until tomorrow, Glenugie until Friday, Swan Creek today, Ulmarra tomorrow and Gulmarrad until Friday.

Motorists are asked to observe all warning signs, follow directions from traffic controllers and slow down.
