Airhead’s act a real eye-popper

THE excitement around the Coffs Harbour Buskers and Comedy Festival is building even further after the announcement of another world class international act being added to the list of performers.

Direct from the UK is Bruce Airhead. If you've ever wanted to see a man and a balloon become one, then watching Bruce Airhead in action is the show you must catch when the festival starts in three weeks.

DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME: Bruce Airhead’s show for the Buskers and Comedy Festival is one you have to see to believe.

Bruce's act involves putting his entire body inside a six-foot balloon.

He will be joined by an act those familiar with the Channel 10 show So You Think You Can Dance will remember, Beat the Streets who are bound to be a favourite with dance fanatics.

Gargoyle will make his first appearance in the city centre on Wednesday, September 23 at 10am.

Add this to the Wheel Of Steel who will be performing at the Kid's Day.

Mr Logan said his company started working on this year's festival as soon as last year's finished. Part of that process is scouting events far and wide, both locally, overseas and online.

"We do get heaps of videos sent to us but it's a bit like picking footy players, you really have to see them in person," Mr Logan said.

It will all be worth it though. Organisers have promised an action-packed program with a heap of new acts, a two-day return to the city centre, the very popular Kid's Day, the adult comedy shows at the Pier Hotel, an extended program at Toormina Gardens and two weekends at the Harbourside Markets.
